Introduction

Lynette Holman is a Ph.D. student and Roy H. Park Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Before coming to UNC in 2007, Lynette taught journalism at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Virginia. Prior to that she worked for 10 years as a newspaper page designer and editor at publications including The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, Virginia and the Birmingham Post-Herald in Birmingham, Alabama.

Lynette holds an MA in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and a BFA in photography from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
